Description

Walla Walla Community College is accepting applications to fill the part-time role of Program Assistant in the Testing Center/Business Office on the Clarkston Campus.

General Responsibilities:
The position supports the Clarkston Campus and the College's efforts in providing the very best educational opportunities possible; provides intake services to students, staff, faculty and the community. This position is vital to continued student success as well as supporting potential students on the Clarkston Campus.

Essential Functions:

Customer Service and Administrative Services
Tasks include:
Support to current students, potential students, faculty, staff and community members by providing excellent customer service; assist with college applications and admissions process, registration, bookstore, and other student support services.
Provide intake services to students, staff, faculty and the general public through clear and professional communication.

Clerical Duties
Tasks include:
General office duties such as making calls, sending and receiving emails, making copies, filing, appointment scheduling, utilizing mail machine and other office equipment, sorting, and delivering mail.

Administers Tests to students, potential students and community members.
Tasks include:
Assists students in preparing for testing by authenticating identify and providing students with testing tools and aids. Review and apply specific policies to the Testing Center. Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible records of testing.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clerical experience
  • Customer Service experience

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Higher Education experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Microsoft Office Suite Experience (specifically Word and Excel)


Conditions/Terms of Employment

This part-time temporary position (up to 17-hours per week) is located at the Clarkston Campus.

This position must meet all proctor certification requirements for Pearson VUE, ACCUPLACER, ATI, and Ecasas tests. Training and certification will be completed after hire.

Work is performed almost exclusively indoors in an office setting, sitting at a desk or computer station. The work schedule is Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. There may be some minimal travel requirements and some local travel to run errands.

Vacation, sick leave and personal leave benefits are available on a pro-rated basis.
Persons hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of lawful authorization to work in the United States within three (3) days of employment. WWCC participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. Candidates may be subject to a criminal history background check as a condition of employment. Information from the background check may not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability and competence to perform in the position. WWCC requires all employees to participate in direct deposit for payment of salary. WWCC is a tobacco free campus.
