Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst with University Faculty Information & Support, you will work directly with our software development team to help ensure the quality of our web-based software. You will be tasked with feature-testing software as we deploy new features and improvements to our software. You will also be responsible for maintaining a suite of regression tests that can be run periodically to ensure the overall stability of our system. You will also be working in an agile environment where communication and teamwork is a key to success while working directly with teammates to catch any unexpected results that may exist. You will also work with our QA team to develop and maintain test plans, smoke test after deployments, test API endpoints, work with basic SQL in a database environment, and help run test automation.

University Faculty Information & Support provides administrative applications and support to leadership across all colleges at the University of Utah including University of Utah Health Academics (non-clinical). Responsibilities
  • Develops, publishes, and implements test plans across multiple cloud-based application.
  • Performs test plans and communicates results.
  • Helps maintain quality assurance standards including bug reporting.
  • Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics and analyses risks.
  • Familiarity with test automation.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
