Job Summary

The Office of Undergraduate Studies invites applications for the position of Coordinator, Learn and Earn (L|earn), an innovative and high-impact student employment and completion program that provides structured professional development and career coaching to students who are currently employed at the university. From admission to graduation, the units of the Office of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Utah provide every student with an exceptional educational experience that empowers them to lead transformational lives wherever their educational and professional futures take them.

Learn and Earn provides opportunities for students to understand their career goals, explore and develop career-adjacent skills, receive professional polishing to graduate career-ready, and be positioned to become leaders in their community. The Program Coordinator will report to the Senior Associate Dean for Student Success and Transformative Experiences in the Office of Undergraduate Studies and is responsible for coordinating with campus partners to support student success and completion efforts while creating a core system for on-campus employment professional development. This team member will connect with human resources, financial aid and scholarships, and Undergraduate Studies to support an exceptional employment experience. This position is funded by a two-year grant from the Strada Education Foundation. Applications received by March 31, 2024 will receive priority consideration.

Responsibilities

The Program Coordinator, Learn and Earn will:

· Monitor and report on the completion of professional development and scholarship requirements for Learn and Earn students.
· Track mid-term and semester student data, including GPA and enrolled credit hours, and conduct necessary interventions.
· Serve as a liaison to the U Career Success team.
· Organize and facilitate workshops or related information sessions (in-person or virtual) that connect students with employers, including those in the Health Professions and Information Technology.
· Serve as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, and employers involved in the Learn and Earn program.
· Conduct regular assessments of the program and provide reports on its effectiveness, student success rates, and areas for improvement.
· Participate in the Inside Track Student Success Coaching training.
· Collaborate with the Undergraduate Studies marketing team to create Learn and Earn marketing materials and social media posts.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
