Appointment-Stream Faculty Position

The University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information seeks a highly motivated individual to contribute to teaching and curriculum development in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). This position is outside of the tenure stream and has a duration of two years

Required Qualifications

  • Holds a Ph.D. in computer science
  • Experience with graduate or undergraduate-level teaching

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a postdoctoral fellow in Computer Science
  • Successful research and teaching expertise and documented activities should reflect the interdisciplinary nature of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), demonstrate a strong, commitment and capacity to expand and complement and collaborate with the signature research areas of the department, the school, and the university
  •  Demonstrate interest and competence in working with participants from diverse backgrounds and share our team’s dedication to equity and social equity
  • Strong teaching record
