Job Description

The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine invites applications to fill a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level (tenured or tenure track) in the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics. This is a full-time appointment (1.0 FTE) with a rank commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will have a key role in the research and education mission of the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics and School of Medicine. S/he will be successful in developing a sustained research program and working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams. The ability to teach courses in biostatistics, biomedical and health informatics, and/or clinical research is required. This position will also mentor student researchers in the design and conduct of innovative research in areas such as translational biomedical health informatics, health outcomes, and clinical trials.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a field related to and be capable of working with individuals in areas of biomedical informatics and clinical research. The successful applicant will be expected to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment that includes mentoring faculty and students with clinical backgrounds, such as medical doctors. A track record of successful teaching and extramural funding is desired.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and credentials.
