This represents a new chapter in advancing health care, outreach and medical education throughout greater Kansas City and the region.

The Endodontics advanced education program is designed to prepare a dentist for a career in clinical endodontics, research and teaching. The overall goal is to educate dentists to become competent clinical endodontists who will serve the public and the profession at a high level of excellence. It stresses the importance of knowledge and skills in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases associated with the dental pulp and related periapical tissues. Didactic and clinical training is also conducted in other related areas within the scope of practice of the field of endodontics as established by the Endodontic Standards of the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Job Description

The faculty member will provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral students. Candidate will create and deliver lecture presentations for didactic and laboratory classes.They will also teach endodontics to pre-doctoral students in the main clinic on a daily basis.

The full-time 24 month program begins July 1 and runs over six continuous semesters.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience.
