Para-Professional
Seeking candidates that have a passion for working with students with special needs and a strong desire to collaborate with others. Must also be dependable, flexible and demonstrate ability to follow student(s) programming. Training will be provided as needed. The primary function of the Para-Professional is to support students with disabilities, with learning and/or behavioral needs within the classroom.
Applicant will work in collaboration with classroom teachers to assist with students with special needs. Applicant must have a good understanding of students at the appropriate age levels, be flexible and be willing to assist students. Good collaboration and communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality will also be needed for this position. Additional duties involving the supervision of students may be assigned, when needed.
Job Summary:
Part-time position available on days when school is in session for students during the school year. Must be able to follow directions, take initiative and be a team player. This position is 30 hrs/wk and starting pay is $12.00/hr. Hours vary between 7:45-4:15.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively communicate with students and staff.
- Demonstrate an ability to work cooperatively and promote a positive environment.
