Instructional Developer
Job Summary:
Under general direction, assists faculty and graduate students with teaching enhancement and course design for face-to-face, blended, and online courses, including innovative, evidence based teaching strategies, assessment methods, and technology integration; facilitates pedagogical programs and develops resources in support of the Center’s mission and the University’s educational initiatives and mission.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include any and/or all of the following:
1. Consults and collaborates with faculty, graduate students to analyze and enhance instructional practices using innovative, evidence-based teaching strategies, assessment methods, classroom management, and technology integration.
2. Assists individual faculty and graduate students in the (re)design and development of face-to-face, blended, and online courses to promote student learning and engagement.
3. Facilitates workshops and other pedagogical programs and develops resources in support of the Center’s mission and the University’s educational initiatives and mission.
4. Researches evidence-based teaching, assessment, and instructional design methods and emerging technologies to enhance face-to-face, blended, and online courses.
5. Regularly participates in professional development activities to maintain knowledge and skills in instructional and faculty development; performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience equivalent to:
Master’s degree; supplemented with at least 2 years of experience teaching in an academic discipline at the post-secondary level.
