Overview

The Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University is seeking a full-time Research Specialist in the Notterman Lab, under the supervision of Dr. Dan Notterman. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of assigned projects.

This is a one year term position with the possibility of renewal contingent upon continued funding and satisfactory performance.



Responsibilities

- Data collection and data management throughout North America
- Completing administrative paperwork (e.g., IRB documents)
- Coordinating meetings, emails, other administrative coordination

- Coordinating participant recruitment
- Helping analyze, present and write up results in concert with more senior lab members



Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree
- At least one year of molecular biology research experience (or a closely aligned field)
- Willingness to learn new skills and enthusiastically take on new projects and responsibilities
- Attention to detail, high level of self-motivation, and ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and balance long-term goals with short-term needs
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft office, write professional emails)

Preferred:

- Experience working with REDCap
- Basic statistics training (e.g., ANOVA, t-tests, use of SPSS and R)
- Experience designing research studies and/or presenting research data
- Experience coding in REDCap
