Groundswell Cafe Team Member

Matthew 25’s Groundswell Cafe is a leader in providing healthy food to all people. As a pay-it-forward café, we provide healthy meals to those who might not otherwise receive a healthy hot meal. We are looking for a team member who will help us provide great meals to paying and pay-it-forward people. The ideal candidate is someone who will bring restaurant and cooking experience, foster a collaborative workplace and promote teamwork while serving our patrons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

● Take orders, keep the cafe looking organized, run food, clear tables and meet the needs of the Café, meeting and exceeding the diner’s expectations in quality, and timing of meals.

● Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining room.

● Provide excellent customer service, making visitors feel welcome and encourage repeat business, building relationships with our guests in the café.

● Ability to use the cash register (Square)

● Willingness to help with cleaning and dishwashing and other side work.

● Maintain Linn County Public Health food safety standards and regulations.

● Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies.

● Display and promote company values. 

● Regular attendance.

● Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OREXPERIENCE (includes but are not limited to the following)

● Education in culinary arts and/or previous experience in a relatable field preferred

● Food preparation experience preferred.
