Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee managerial aspects of various lab projects, including ordering and organizing lab supplies. This includes keeping inventory of supplies, preparing reagents, and ensuring compliance with safety/animal protocols.
Under supervision, the applicant will plan, conduct, and evaluate the results of experiments. They will develop knowledge of relevant scientific literature, and provide appropriate written/oral documentation of experiments. They will be expected to learn/understand experimental protocols and follow them precisely. This includes troubleshooting when something is not working, suggesting improvements and modifications to existing protocols where needed.
They will also teach procedures to others after demonstrating mastery. Experimental work will include cell culture, molecular biology, and maintenance (breeding/genotyping) of mouse colonies. They will perform calculations involving molarity, % solutions, and serial dilutions. They will work as an effective team member, and interact with others in a friendly, professional manner.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Education Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Bachelors Degree Experience Required: None Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Bachelor's Degree required; 1-2 years previous research experience preferred.
