Job Summary

The Community Engagement department within the College of Arts, Sciences and Education is recruiting Site Managers for the FIU All-Stars middle school enrichment program. The site manager, under the direction of the school principal is responsible for the daily operation of the program, including but not limited to personnel, activities, and general program operation.

Duties include:
  • Supervises activity leaders, community involvement specialist, and security monitor
  • Develops schedules that incorporate all required curricula and time frames and ensures their accurate implementation
  • Assists with program registration process
  • Supervises students as they report to the program
  • Maintains updated program files and documents
  • Reviews and verifies the "G" Payroll for accuracy and submits it to the school secretary for input and principal's approval
  • Supervises snack planning, service, and clean-up. Orders snacks based on projected attendance. Adjusts snack order as needed to ensure a cost-effective management of the program
  • Supervises general condition of areas used by the program
  • Signs and updates attendance roster and registration cards
  • Plans and holds meetings with staff to disseminate information as needed
  • Completes all required reports and submits them by the due date
  • Attends professional development activities and meetings
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of documents, including forms, routine correspondence, class lists, and announcements/program flyers
  • Updates student attendance records including summary attendance sheets
  • Performs registration activities: registers, transfers and withdraws students, updates records/cards as required and process student accident forms
  • Responds to inquiries from parents and students regarding program offerings, attendance, and registration procedures
  • Greets visitors and makes and distributes program information
  • Visits classrooms on a daily basis. Reviews performance of activity leaders and provides suggestions, demonstrations, and assistance for improvement as needed
  • Checks e-mail daily to ensure that program updates and communication are reviewed in a timely manner
  • Advises principal on an ongoing basis of program operations and development
  • Advertises the program using approved documents
  • Plans and implements Family Night and other events
  • Responsible for the end-of-the-year closing of the program
  • Must attend mandatory monthly in house program meetings
The site manager's schedule will reflect the allocation approved. In cases where extenuating circumstances require the program manager to work additional hours, approval must be obtained.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.
  • Must be a Miami-Dade County school staff or administrator with at least two years of managerial experience.
