The California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits) www.calnonprofits.org is a statewide policy network and a leading voice for California's nonprofit community. We are advocates for nonprofits and communities to government, philanthropy, and the public at large. In addition to our policy work, we provide member benefits such as health insurance access, office supply discounts, and other offerings. We are headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Sacramento, Capitola, and Los Angeles.
Program Coordination is a full-time, hybrid position supporting all programs of CalNonprofits.
The Program Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and support various program needs such as the setting up and management of webinars and events, and membership support virtually and in person. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills.
Membership Support (25%)
- Process hard copy invoices for members
- Respond to general inquiries (e.g., policy updates, events, and nonprofit resources)
- Effectively articulate CalNonprofits' mission and programs to a variety of audiences
- Support other programs as needed (tabling at events, support for member-only webinars, membership retreat, etc)
- Update information on our member-only site
General Program Support (75%)
- Set up registration, send panelist invites, provide technical support, and send follow-up emails for all webinars
- Edit webinar recordings and upload on Box, Youtube, etc.
- Update all events and webinars on our online calendar
- Format content for e-newsletter, other digital communications using our CRM system
- Help source and create digital assets for communications channels, like email, social media, etc.
- Provide basic website updates and additional support to communications, as needed
- Organize files on Box
- Light office management responsibilities including tracking equipment and accounts
- Other duties assigned by supervisor
Required Skills & Experience
- Interest in community-based nonprofits
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in membership, development/donor relations, customer service or related role in a nonprofit organization or trade association
- Experience working with database(s), with a commitment to data integrity and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communications skills in English via phone, email, and social media
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing and open personal style; emotional intelligence to offer superior customer service to our members and community of people with diverse racial, ethnic, age, and political backgrounds
- Intermediate MS Office proficiency including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Excellent digital skills (internet, web, etc.)
- Willingness to pitch-in when and where needed
Additional "nice to have" qualifications
- Experience with event production
- Experience working with remote staff members
Compensation
$22 - $24/hour
