Director of Information Technology

Full Time Exempt Position. The IT Director will oversee the technology infrastructure, systems, and software used in the hospital. Prefer experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system, knowledge of HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, strong networking skills, and a strong knowledge of server virtualization. Will lead a team of technology professionals to ensure that all technology systems are running efficiently and securely, and that staff are trained in their use.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:

At least 5 years of experience in IT leadership with a track record of successful technology implementation and management. Experience with CPSI electronic medical record system is required as well as a familiarity with HL7 standards and knowledge of Promoting Interoperability Reporting. Familiarity with State and Government regulations and reporting is required. Must have knowledge of healthcare industry regulations/ requirements such as HIPAA and HITECH and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
